Undercity is a three-track EP from Sao Paulo based Brazilian artist Horos. Focused on dancefloor dynamics, Undercity is Horos' take on functional, DJ ready productions. Released and distributed by Wet Dust, a fresh new catalog focused on obscure underground sounds, off the grid House and Techno from Brazil, the EP was created with cheap analog gear during live studio takes, a production approach Horos is well known of.
Horos is a São Paulo based artist. His music is a blend of sci-fi narratives and hi-tech mysticism. The man behind TRNQR — an independent label with a mixed catalog that includes albums, EPs, and singles distributed in the form of cassettes, zines, and digital files —, Horos has been active since '12, after many years leading residencies in São Paulo's thriving underground music scene.
His sound has received the endorsement from artists in the likes of Boys Noize, Lena Willikens, Scuba, Volvox, Marsman, Softcoresoft, and Renato Cohen. In 2017 his work was released by many labels such as Catch (UK), Dissolute (Germany), Ecce (Portugal), Quadrado Magico (Brazil) and also featured in the Power Puerto Rico compilation.
